Do the wheels fit tightly to the cooking skewer or the competitors have to utilize given materials to secure the wheels?
· Team's will understand the need for attaching the wheels once they receive and discuss the materials given.
Can you clarify what wheels we should use?
· We do not release this information before the students enter the room or their competition. I have heard of teams practicing with bottle caps and larger K'nex or Lego wheels.
Do the wheels have traction or are they smooth wheels? Also, how thick are the wheels?
· This information will not be given until the day of the competition.
Does the rubber band have to travel with the car (e.g., be part of a mechanism within the car like wrapping around an axle) or can it be used to sling-shot the car down the track such that the rubber band stays at the starting line while the car travels down the track without it?
· The rubber bands may not be used as a sling shot.
