Invitationals
Schools sometimes run practice tournaments, independent from VASO, called "invitationals". These are optional tournaments, offering teams full-scale practice under competitive, tournament conditions. Don't be fooled by the name "invitationals"; anyone is welcome to attend for the majority of these.

To participate in an Invitational Tournament, including out-of-state tournaments, a team must have completed its VASO registration.

A school may not enter more Invitational teams than it has registered with VASO.

Invitationals typically require their own registration fee and each Invitational determines its own criteria for participating, schedule, and slate of events to run.
