Ping Pong Parachute
Prior to the tournament, teams will design, build, and bring up to two bottle rockets to the tournament to launch a ping pong ball attached to a parachute to stay aloft for the greatest amount of time.

Section 6.c: Rockets and/or parachute payload systems violating 2.b. and/or 3.a.-g. rules 3.a.-d. or 3.f. will not be launched. Teams with a rocket unable to make any launches will receive participation points only.
Section 6.e.v: A 0.70 multiplier will be applied to launches violating rules 2.a.-b., 3.e., 3.g.-h., or 5.a.

Section 5.i: All times for each launch must be recorded for breaking ties. Time aloft is recorded in hundredths tenths of a second. The middle median value is the officially recorded time.

Section 5.a: Teams must arrive at the competition site ready to launch with proper eye protection to have their rocket(s) inspected for safety. Once participants enter the event area to compete, they must not leave or receive outside assistance, materials, or communication until they are finished competing.
