Nick Kilpatrick
Board Candidate
Nick Kilpatrick has been a part of Virginia Science Olympiad since 2011, first joining as a coach for his Division A team. For the last 12 years he has served as one of the Division A coordinators, helping build and run the VASO Division A competitions. Over his years of volunteering with VASO, he has also coached his school's Science Olympiad Division B team and served as an Event Supervisior at B/C tournaments. Mr. Kilpatrick is passionate about students finding a love of science.Â
Mr. Kilpatrick has been employed at Churchill Road Elementary School for the past 15 years. He began his career as a 4th grade teacher, later teaching 6th grade for several years. Afterward, he served as the School-Based Technology Specialist (SBTS) for 5 years before assuming his present position as Assistant Principal.Â
Mr. Kilpatrick earned his B.S. in Elementary Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, his Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Designing Digital Learning in Schools from George Mason University, and his endorsement in Administration and Supervision from James Madison University.
