Lindsay Rusnak
Director
Lindsay Rusnak has been involved in Science Olympiad since joining the Lake Braddock staff in 2016. She started by supervising chemistry events and chaperoning the team, eventually taking on the head coaching role in 2022. She has been an event supervisor, state test writer, and regional tournament director.
As a coach, she has continued to supervise a student-run Division B invitational. Ms. Rusnak and her middle school coach were honored with “Coach of the Year” in 2024. She currently teaches Biology DE and Chemistry at Lake Braddock and is the sponsor of Science National Honor Society. In her free time, she is a ceramic artist and an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Ms. Rusnak earned her BA in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University and her MS in Plant Pathology from University of Wisconsin- Madison. She earned her National Board Certification in Science for Adolescence and Young Adulthood in Biology in 2023.
